Mom's African Flower Blanket

This is my 3rd African Flower blanket and made for my mom. It seemed to take me forever. Looking back I can not even remember when I started it this year but I know it was late spring, or maybe early summer? I just know I am relieved that it is completed and I am taking it to her today.

Hoping all of you who celebrated Christmas had a merry one and wishing all of you a very Happy New Year.

  4. I can 't stop staring at this beautiful blanket..!
I'm also making this blanket, with green, grey, blue and white colours... i know how much work this is..!

Which wool did you use for this blanket? A low weight cotton?

    Have a nice weekend!

    1. I used acrylic yarns. But have seen it done in cottons and that works up very nice too. I don't think I have ever seen an African flower motif I didn't like. Even in the funkiest variegated yarns that you think aren't so pretty they still look good. From a bit of a distance they all make a lovely blanket, and put it on the back of a couch or chair and you will find your eyes constantly drawn to look at it.
